Mayobridge GAA Club awards Night

Sunday 5th March 2017

The Mayobridge Annual Awards ceremony was held in the Social Club on Saturday night with a large crowd in attendance. The award winners were:

Hall of Fame:  Sean O’Hare.
Club Personality of the Year:  Marie Sherry.
Senior Player of the Year:  Cathal Magee.
Senior Sportsman of the Year:  David McVeigh.
Reserve Player of the Year:  Lee Quinn.
Thirds Player of the Year:  John Paul McPolin.
U-21 Player of the Year:  Cory Quinn.
Minor Player of the Year:  Shane Smyth.
Ladies Football, Player of the Year:  Leanne Taylor.
Players Player of the Year:  Leanne Taylor.
Camogie Player of the Year:  Aimee Magone.
Players Player of the Year:  Shenna McNamee.
Handball Personality of the Year:  Adrian Gribben.
Felix Darby Cup and South Down Reserve Cup:  Captain, John Paul McPolin.
U-21 Championship Cup:  Captain, Cory Quinn
U-21 Championship Winning Managers:  Brendan Grant, Caolan Gallagher, Ciaran Magennis, James Marron.
Sigerson Cup Medal winner:  Cory Quinn.
Ulster GAA Millenium Award:   Michael Fitzpatrick.
Down Junior Handball Champion:  Martin Sherry
Division 4 Handball Champion:  John White.
Division 3 Handball Champion:   Adrian Gribben.
Mayobridge Division 2 Champion:  Michelle McCoy.

There was also a special presentation to the Mayobridge Ballad Group of Katie O’Keefe, Eimear Magee, Bernadette McAnulty, Jordan Lively and Gavin Gribben and mentor Edel Moley on winning the Ulster Scór na nÓg title and on reaching the All Ireland Final.
