2020 JHC Final 2pm, Newcastle
Ballela 1-18
Cumann Pheadaír Naofa 2-11
In a thrilling encounter with the lead changing hands several times in the first half, it was a Jamie Grant goal just after the second water break and a point from Tiernan Murphy left the sides deadlocked once more with less than ten minutes to go. But four Mal Magee points over the remaining few minutes was enough to see Ballela over the line and crowned as the JHC winners for 2020.
2020 IHC Final 4pm, Newcastle
Carryduff 2-15
Liatroim 1-12
In a powerful second half display from Carryduff was enough to see them crowned as the IHC winners for 2020. Leading by a solitary point at the half time break, goals from Conor McAllister & a match winning performance from Ronan Beatty, who finished the game with 1-7, in the final quarter was enough to give Carryduff a six point winning margin. Earlier Oisín MacManus had blasted a penalty over the bar that would have left a point in it, but Carryduff drove on with the next few scores. Liatroim did manage to give Carryduff a slight scare when Liam Middleton goaled shortly afterwards to reduce their deficit to a point, but Carryduff replied with McAllister & Beatty’s goals in the final quarter for a well-deserved win.
